Black & Blue Cheeseburger

Ever tried blue cheese on your burger? You should! We've got the perfect recipe and instructions for mastering the black and blue burger. Enjoy!

  • 24 oz. 80% Ground Chuck
  • 4 oz. Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • 8 ea. Hormel Black-Label Bacon Slices, cooked according to package directions
  • 1 tsp. Blackening Seasoning
  • 4 ea. Kaiser Buns
  • 2 tbs. Soft Butter
  • 1.5 tsp. Salt
  • 1.5 tsp. Pepper
  • Heat grill to medium heat.
  • Butter cut-sides of buns with soft butter.
  • Place buns on tin foil butter-side down, then place on grill and warm until toasted; remove from heat and set aside.
  • Form (4) 6 oz. patties using the ground beef. Season on both sides with salt and paper.
  • Place burgers on grill and cook 4 minutes on each side or until internal temperature registers 165 degrees on a meat thermometer (for well done).
  • Place blue cheese on top of burgers, followed by bacon slices, and close grill cover. Then, turn off heat and let burgers stand for 5 minutes on grill until cheese is melted.
  • Place burgers on bottom-half of bun and add additional toppings as desired, followed by the top of the buns.
