Beef Tacos with a Kick

For the filling

  • 1 lb. SEG brand 85% lean fresh ground beef
  • 1 oz. taco seasoning mix
  • 8 oz. onion, minced

For the shell

  • 8-12 taco shells, lightly warmed

Suggested toppings (all to taste)

  • SE Grocers medium salsa
  • SE Grocers sour cream
  • SE Grocers chunk Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • Fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced and de-seeded
  • Iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • Heat pan over medium-high heat and add beef and onion. Cook until browned, then drain the fat.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Add taco seasoning to drained beef, stir and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove beef from heat; divide evenly among taco shells.
  • Top with lettuce, salsa, cheese, jalapeño and sour cream as desired.
